In-Year Admissions
To apply for a place outside the normal admissions round (In-Year admission), applications are managed by Hackney Education.

Reception Class Applications
To apply for a Reception place, you must complete the online application form:

Published Admission Number (PAN)
In accordance with the School Admissions Code 2021, the academy has a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 60 for Reception.
For the 2025 intake, due to high demand for places, the academy admitted 90 pupils, exceeding its PAN in line with the Schools Admission Code.
The academy anticipates continued strong demand and therefore expects to admit up to 90 pupils for the 2026 intake, should sufficient applications be received.
Any decision to admit above PAN is made in line with admissions legislation and with careful consideration of the academy’s capacity to maintain high-quality education for all pupils.
Appeals
If your child has not been offered a place at Mossbourne Riverside Academy, you have the legal right to appeal the decision through an Independent Appeal Panel.
