A typical academy day

The School Day Begins

The school gates are opened at 8.30am and the school day begins at 8.55am. Children are expected to be inside the main playground by 8:53am ready to line up allowing time for classes to reach their classrooms and begin the day promptly by 8.55am. All children gather in the playground and are greeted by their class teacher.

Assemblies

Assemblies for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 are held on Mondays at 10.15 – 10.35 (KS1) or Fridays 10:15 – 10:35pm (KS2) in the Middle Hall.

Early Years (Reception) hold a celebration assembly every Friday morning in the Lower Hall.

Playtimes

Key Stage 1 and 2: 10.35 – 10:55am

Lunchtimes

Early Years begin their lunch at 11.45am.

Lunchtime for years 1-6 is from 12:30 – 13:30pm.

The School Day Ends

The school gates remain closed until 3.30pm. At 3.15pm all year groups prepare for the end of the day. At 3.30pm the main gates are then opened, once the children are assembled in the playground. This ensures the safeguarding of all children who are able to be collected safely by their parents and carers from the class teacher.

Extended Services

Breakfast Club is open from 8am each morning providing children with breakfast and activities before school. There is a small daily charge for this. If you would like your child to attend the Breakfast Club, please enquire at the main office regarding the most up to date costings and availability.

Additionally, children have the opportunity to sign up to a variety of after-school enrichment activities from Crochet club to Dodgeball, please enquire at the reception desk as to how to sign your child up to these activities.
